Rick
Guitar and Vocals
Senior member of the band, Rick has been playing professionally since 1966. To put that in perspective, 1966 is the year that the Beatles released the Revolver album, the Jimi Hendrix Experience released their first single "Hey Joe",The Animals made their fifth appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show, The Who released their second album and Cream performed their first concert.
Rick continued to play in bands through college and upon graduation moved to Peoria, Illinois, where he worked for Caterpillar Tractor Co. at their world headquarters building. Eventually tiring of working in the largest Cat house in Peoria, he moved to San Antonio in 1984 continuing his musical endeavors.
RXS represents the latest of these and Rick views it as an opportunity to put into practice all that he has learned during the more than half-century that has passed since that first gig. Unlike most of his peers, Rick uses no amplifier on stage, preferring to use digitally based equipment. This allows him to do things that are difficult or impossible to do with traditional analog gear.
